OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS
CONTEST DESCRIPTION
1. "The Newsfeed 1,000 Contest" contest commences 12:00 a.m. (Saskatchewan) Saturday, August 21, 2010 and concludes 11:59 p.m. (Saskatchewan) Friday, October 1, 2010 (the "Contest Period"), or once the 5,000th post has been made on the Huy's HomeTurf!!!@Home Newsfeed blog, whichever comes first. The contest is brought to you by Huy's HomeTurf!!!@Home.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
2. The contest is open to all legal residents of Canada who are thirteen (13) years of age or older as of the first day of the Contest Period, excluding all residents of the province of Quebec.
3. Notwithstanding the above, the contest is not open to individuals associated with the contest, including the employees, agents or representatives (collectively, the "Excluded Individuals") of Huy's HomeTurf!!!@Home (including their respective divisions, subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising or promotional agencies) and suppliers providing prizes or other materials or services in connection with this contest. This contest is also not open to the immediate family members of the Excluded Individuals, and all other persons with whom the Excluded Individuals reside. In these rules "immediate family" means mother, father, daughters, sons, sisters, brothers and spouse. Finally, this Contest is not open to any previous winners of any Huy's HomeTurf!!!@Home contest, within the twelve (12) month period immediately preceding the Contest Period of that previous contest, where the previous winner agreed to a winner release form excluding themselves from entering and/or winning any future Huy's HomeTurf!!!@Home contests within a twelve (12) month period. However, if that agreement was not met, this rule does not apply.
HOW TO ENTER
4. There is only one (1) way to enter to be a potential winner - by entering the draw.
4.1. To enter for a chance to win in the draw, visit the Huy's HomeTurf!!!@Home website at www.huydang.com. Click on "The Newsfeed Contest Celebrating 5,000 Stories That is So Cool That It Makes No Sense Making It the Coolest Newsfeed Contest Celebrating 5,000 Stories That Ever Existed" contest link and then fill out the form. Follow the instructions to enter. Fill out the online entry form with your first name, last name, email address, mailing address and phone number. Alternatively, you can mail your name, mailing address, phone number and email address to the following address: Huy’s HomeTurf!!!@Home Media, Inc., Newsfeed Contest, PO Box 28040 RPO Westgate, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, S7M 5V8, Canada. Entries will not be eligible if sent by any method not specified above or if received outside of the Contest Period.
5. No purchase is required to enter. Only one entry per person per entry method will be accepted for the draw during the Contest Period. Limit of one prize per household. Multiple entries of any kind by the same person will be disqualified, unless multiple entries are expressly permitted herein.
PRIZES
6. There are four (4) prizes and to be won from all eligible entries received.
6.1. Each prize has a market value of $50.00 and is a cheque in the amount of $50.00 paid to the order of the contest winner.
DRAW
7. Within five (5) business days of the end of the Contest Period, four (4) entrants will be randomly selected from all eligible entries.
8. In order to be declared a Prize winner by the contest judges, a potential winner must be in compliance with these contest rules and, in particular, the following:
8.1 A Huy's HomeTurf!!!@Home employee must be able to reach the potential winner by email within three (3) days of the draw.
8.2 The potential prize winner must correctly answer, unaided and within a set timeframe, a mathematical skill-testing question administered by a Huy's HomeTurf!!!@Home employee by mail.
9. If a potential or declared winner is not in compliance with the contest rules, the contest judges reserve the right to disqualify such entrant from the contest and randomly select further entrants from the remaining eligible entries until a winner is finally declared.
10. In order for a potential winner who is a minor in his/her province of residence to be declared a winner, the minor's parent or legal guardian must answer the skill-testing question and accept the prize on the minor's behalf.
11. Each declared winner, or if a declared winner is a minor, the declared winner and his/her parent or legal guardian on his/her behalf, consents to Huy's HomeTurf!!!@Home's use of his/her name, city of residence, photograph, voice, statement and image for any publicity or programming purposes, in all media, without remuneration, throughout the world in perpetuity.
12. Entrants will not be individually contacted, except for selected entrants or declared winners, who will be contacted by email.
GENERAL
13. The decisions of the contest judges are final, and entrants agree to abide by all of the instructions and decisions of contest judges. In the event of any dispute regarding the interpretation of these contest rules or any decision rendered by the contest judges, the decision or interpretation of the contest judges shall prevail.
14. All entries become the sole property of, and are subject to verification by, Huy's HomeTurf!!!@Home. Any entry that is illegible, incomplete, altered, or contains false information, is invalid.
15. Any attempt to tamper with the entry process, interfere with these contest rules, deliberately damage any website or undermine the administration, security or legitimate operation of the contest, in the Huy's HomeTurf!!!@Home's sole discretion (collectively referred to as "Prohibited Acts"), is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and the Huy's HomeTurf!!!@Home reserve the right to seek damages and/or other relief from all persons responsible for such acts to the fullest extent permitted by law, which may include banning or disqualifying entrants from this and future Huy's HomeTurf!!!@Home contests. For further clarity, Prohibited Acts include, without limitation:
Use of automated equipment - the use of any automated equipment to participate in this contest is prohibited.
16. Huy's HomeTurf!!!@Home assumes no responsibility for: entries lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected, or for the failure, interruption, technical malfunction or delay of any email or other communication to be received, for any reason; any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by contest website users or by an equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the contest of by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of entries in the contest; problems with the function of any website or website feature howsoever caused; the malfunction of, or damage caused to, any telephone network or lines, computer equipment, data or software, online systems, servers or access providers; any functionality lost due to not having cookies enabled; traffic congestion on the Internet; the security or privacy of information transmitted via computer networks; or for breaches of privacy due to interference by third party computer "hackers".
17. Huy's HomeTurf!!!@Home reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute any component of a prize for its cash value or a prize of approximately the same retail value. Prizes are non-transferable, must be accepted as awarded by Huy's HomeTurf!!!@Home and cannot be exchanged by a declared winner for cash or other substitutes.
18. Huy's HomeTurf!!!@Home reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, to amend, cancel, close, suspend or reinstate this contest at any time and for any reason whatsoever.
19. The contest is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.
20. The contest and the contest rules shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the province of Saskatchewan. Any dispute shall be adjudicated in the courts sitting in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
