Remember when George W. Bush came into power and became the president of the United States of America? Well, back then, there were people who never liked Bush, and on the day of his inauguration, eggs were thrown at his limousine. Well, on January 20, 2009, Barack Obama will officially become the first black president of the United States.
Soon after, Barack Obama will make his first foreign trip as president to Canada. Back in 2001, when Bush became president, he decided to say, "Screw Canada." Instead, he decided to visit Mexico.
Obama will be restoring the very-long tradition of making Canada the first "foreign" place to visit.
Interestingly enough, Prime Minister Stephen Harper does not plan to attend Obama's inauguration.
