Applying Bryan Adams' Music to Odd Situations
written on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 by Larry Chen
Bryan AdamsWe all know that Bryan Adams is an excellent songwriter/musician from Canada, right? Well, not many of us know that, including myself, until recently.

Recently, I started to listen to his songs from albums I checked out at the local public library and found something interesting.

A lot of his songs could be used in life, if your life were like a movie.

Let's get started.

Coming Home in a Rush
Now, let's just say that my late brother Lee were still alive and was rushing home because he forgot something and needed to get back to the place he left. Now that doesn't make sense... let's just assume he was still in high school, needed to go home to pick something up and return to school within an hour. Well, the perfect song for that scene, if it were on a television show or movie, would be "Back to You."

Cruising Around Saskatoon or Any City
Well, something I like to do when I'm bored or have issues thinking is drive around. Since moving to Saskatoon in 2009, I have gotten used to driving around Saskatoon, even if there are always other drivers that act like idiots. However, I seem to come at piece when I listen to "Cloud Number Nine."

I don't know why. It just seems soothing to drive around with that song playing on the stereo.

'East Side Story'
A small cliché about Saskatoon is that the east side is better than Saskatoon, and it certainly feels that way, even though living expenses on the east side of town are more expensive, apparently. But no matter what, I enjoy driving on the east side compared to the west side, and the perfect song for cruising around the east side of Saskatoon in my 2004 Toyota Camry LE is listening to the song "East Side Story."

Bizarre Situation of Showing Someone Why They Should Appreciate You
Are you trying to get some girl to like you? Are you trying to get someone within your family to appreciate the things you do? Well, although the lyrics are broad, the song "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You" seems like the appropriate song for any of those situations.

As for romance, this song does not cut it!

Highway Driving/Road Trips
On road trips, you often see something new, or something you may have not seen on the last road trip. And for this, I find that "I Thought I'd Seen Everything" seems appropriate in this situation.

"Please Forgive Me!"
Have you ever been in a relationship? Well, I haven't really been in one, but the rest of the Huy's HomeTurf!!!@Home gang have been. Although we are all losers since we are all single (if I weren't single, I probably wouldn't have typed up this article), I feel the song "Please Forgive Me" works in a situation where a man or woman screws up big time and has to apologize to their partner and/or ask for forgiveness.

Romance/Love Song
It's kind of obvious, but if you love someone, the perfect song may be "When You Love Someone."

Well, that's it for this weird article. However, just because this seems fruity, that doesn't mean that I am gay.

Thanks for reading,
