Kick-Ass Moments on Television
written on Thursday, January 12, 2006 by Huy Dang
Television has really gone a long ways over the years...

And well, since I'm bored out of my mind tonight, I am going to talk about TV.

Let's start off by talking about one of my favourite TV shows, The Simpsons...

Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor and his moments of FUN
Tim TaylorHome Improvement was on the air for eight years or so. And during this short time period, Tim Taylor has incurred many accidents. In fact, too many to list. But, let's talk about the things I can remember...

This may not be a moment that was funny because the show wasn't always funny. A lot of episodes were serious and heartwarming. For example, on the episode "The Longest Day," Tim and Jill are told that Randy could have cancer. Eventually, Randy, using the power of the Internet, finds out that the disease that Tim and Jill told him was cancer. Later, when Tim finds Randy at an arcade, it becomes a father/son moment.

But, what about the last three episodes? Well, the third part of the three-parter wasn't very special. But, the first two were. The first part of the three-parter brings back many memories of the show from the previous eight seasons.

The Simpsons and Homer's injuries and/or crazy schemes
Bart Simpson

Do you remember Homer Simpson has his crazy schemes on The Simpsons?

Well, they are too long to list. But, I can remember a lot of them... I just won't talk about all of them.

One time, Homer decides that selling grease would make him rich. So, remember that time he cooked all of that bacon, fed it to Santa's Little Helper and saved the grease and got a whole 60 cents or so? But, the bacon costs $27.

On another episode, Homer helps Moe find a woman. But, they don't. Then, later, Moe finds a woman and they start to date. But, Moe, after spending so much money, convinces Homer to help him commit insurance fraud by stealing his car and parking it on the railway tracks. Later, Homer goes and finds Snake in the car and kicks him out then steals the vehicle. Later, he realizes how stupid he was. And, to continue that, he stopped to watch a movie and missed the train. So, he drives it into the river or lake and says to himself, "Homer, you're a genius."

I'm too lazy to bring up other moments. If you want to share something with me, please email me at huydang@huydang.com.
